April 6 is Chakri Day in Thailand, a public holiday commemorating the founding day of the royal Chakri Dynasty. The current Thai monarch, HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, is the ninth king of the dynasty. Thai people are generally very patriotic and Chakri Day is a holiday on which many people pay respects to the king and his predecessors. We’re celebrating Chakri Day bu lounging at a favorite coffee place. Paul wants you to know that his right hand doesn’t really look like this; he just moved it a bit as I made the panorama!
